Start A ProjectDesigned for entrepreneurs Casey Neistat and Candice Pool, this downtown Manhattan residence reflects the creative energy, curiosity, and individuality that define both their professional lives and their growing family. Overlooking the Hudson River, the apartment was envisioned as a home that balances refined craftsmanship with effortless livability, creating interiors that feel sophisticated without sacrificing warmth, humor, or personality.

Throughout the design process, the project became affectionately known as "Bohemian Aristocrat," a concept inspired by Candice's playful aesthetic and the couple's appreciation for interiors that feel collected rather than prescribed. The apartment's gracious floor plan provided an opportunity to create a series of intimate yet interconnected spaces, allowing each room to express its own identity while contributing to a cohesive narrative throughout the home.

Family heirlooms, vintage finds, bespoke furnishings, and contemporary design coexist naturally within the interiors. Botanical wallpaper transforms the entry into a memorable arrival experience, while handcrafted tile, sculptural lighting, layered textiles, and carefully restored furnishings introduce richness and character throughout the residence. Dining chairs brought from Candice's native South Africa were lovingly reupholstered and incorporated alongside iconic contemporary pieces, reinforcing the home's sense of history and personal connection.

Bedrooms are calm and layered, pairing soft blues and greens with velvet, bolsters, and linen for restful, lived-in comfort.
For the youngest member of the family, a soft pink children's room with built-in shelving and a tufted chair feels both sweet and sophisticated.

Rather than adhering to a singular design style, the residence reflects the creative lives of the family who inhabit it.
