Information we collect

When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. If you subscribe to studio updates, we collect your email address.

We also receive standard technical information from your browser, including IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and the pages you view.

Analytics and marketing tools also collect usage information, such as the pages viewed, the time of each visit, and whether a visit followed one of the studio’s advertisements. The section below explains how these tools work and the choices available to you.

How we use information

Enquiry details are used to respond to you, to assess project fit, and to keep a record of our correspondence. Email addresses collected for updates are used only to send studio news, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.

Technical information is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to maintain its security and performance.

Usage information from analytics is reviewed in aggregate. It helps us understand how the site is used, improve it over time, and measure which features bring visitors here.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies and similar technologies, including pixels and local storage. A cookie is a small file placed on your device. A pixel is a small piece of code that reports when a page is viewed.

These fall into three groups. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies collect information in aggregate about the pages viewed, time on the site, referring source, device, and approximate location derived from IP address. Marketing cookies help measure whether advertisements bring visitors to the site.

These tools are deployed through Google Tag Manager, which manages the tags on our behalf and does not use visitor information for its own purposes.

Google Analytics reports how visitors find and use the site. It sets cookies to distinguish one visitor from another. Google processes this information under the Google Privacy Policy, and it may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

The site may also use the Meta Pixel. It reports when people visit after seeing the studio on Facebook or Instagram, which helps us show our work to those who may be interested. Meta processes pixel information under the Meta Privacy Policy.

Pages that embed third-party content, such as maps, may set cookies governed by that provider’s own policy.

You can control much of this yourself. Browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies, which may affect parts of the site. Google offers an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics. Advertising preferences can be reviewed through Google Ads Settings and the Digital Advertising Alliance, and Meta data use can be managed in your Facebook settings.

Where local law requires consent for these tools, they are not enabled until you provide it.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers who operate the site and its email systems on our behalf, and only to the extent needed for that work.

Analytics and advertising providers, including Google and Meta, process information on our behalf as described in the cookies section. Their own policies govern how they handle it.

We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of the studio, its clients, or others.

California law treats some sharing of personal information for advertising as a sale or share. Residents may ask us to stop by writing to info@dauncurry.com or by using the opt-out tools described above, and we will honour such requests.

Retention

Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable business record. Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Write to info@dauncurry.com and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy legislation.

Where you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, analytics and marketing tools are enabled only with your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information in our care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
